Riviste Monocle

An article from Monocle that is notable is the "Top 20 heroes" where 20 people worldwide have been selected for their talents and  problem-solving skills. Top on the list is Ruan Yishan who is the dean of the National Research Centre of Historic cites at Shanghai's Tongji University. He mentioned that he has to work with the government closely and if they go off the track, he would have to correct them or use the strength of media to protect their heritage. Preservation today is not easy in a country that lacks conservation laws and full of tall-rise buildings. Others in the list include Ory Okolloh who is a campaigner in Kenya. She co-found a project called Ushahidi to let people report violence on the web. Hanne Vedel  is a designer in Denmark. Despite being 70years old, she keeps herself busy by weaving by hand everyday.

All these 50 people work hard towards what they strongly believe in. They are modern role models for like-minded people.
